Cotton tree flower
Hibiscus tiliaceus is a tree native to the shores of the Pacific and Indian oceans, commonly found growing on beaches, by rivers and in mangrove swamps, it is well adapted to grow in a coastal environment in that it tolerates salt and waterlogging.
Screw palm
Pandanus tectorius is native to eastern Australia, and the Pacific Islands. The fruit can be eaten raw and is also a staple fruit in some countries, its taste is described as sweet as sugar cane, and the fibrous foliage is used for weaving and thatching.

Goat's foot flower
Goat’s foot (Ipomoea pes-caprae) can be found on the sandy shores of the tropical Atlantic, Pacific, and Indian Oceans. It is a primary sand stabiliser, being one of the first plants to colonise the dune and one of the most common and most widely distributed salt tolerant plants and provides one of the best known examples of oceanic dispersal.
Coastal Banksia
Banksia plants are naturally adapted to the presence of regular bushfires. About half of Banksia species typically survive bushfires, either because they have very thick bark that protects the trunk from fire, or because they have lignotubers from which they can resprout after fire, some species require bushfire to trigger the release of the seed.
